Guanajuato, Gto., March 14, 2017.- M. María del Carmen Rodríguez Robelo, of HS Guanajuato, obtained the second place in the 1st Contests of Scripts for Scientific Theater, organized by the Department of Innovation, Science and Higher Education of the State of Guanajuato and the National Council of Science and Technology.

The summon was issued at the end of the past year, with the purpose to widen the reaches and modalities of the scientific divulgation. They presented 15 proposals from the Guanajuato, Leon, Salvatierra, Salamanca and Celaya. The literary evaluation was made by the renowned dramaturge of Guanajuato, Sara Pinedo, and a group of experts.

At the award ceremony, which recognizes her as the winner of the second place, the high school professor of the University of Guanajuato (UG) mentioned to be satisfied for the work done together with her son Antonio Abraham Martínez Rodríguez, since the experience was very fruitful and a prove is this achievement.

The work titled "Un Cuento Atómio" (An Atomic Tale), elaborated by María del Carmen Rodríguez in collaboration with her son Antonio Abraham Martínez Rodríguez, portrays a teenager, Mateo, who likes soccer and videogames, have fun with his friends his age. But, when the Chemistry teacher warns him he will fail, he decides to ally with his buddy "Quique" and make a project which will help him pass.

At first, there are many differences between them, but Mateo and Quique end up together in an odyssey through the history of the atom, in which they find several important characters who shaped the atomic theory and as we know it today. In the process, Mateo discovers that Chemistry is more comprehensible than he thought, and ends up becoming a good friend of Quique.

Soon, they intend to tour with the project on stage around the high schools of UG and other educational institutions suggested by the Secretary of Innovation.
