
Salamanca, Gto. March 17, 2017.- Successful graduates from the Mechanical Engineering program, talked with students of the Division of Engineering of the University of Guanajuato, to gives testimony of how their affiliation to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and to the Mexican Society of Mechanical Engineers (SOMIM) gave them the tools to stood out in their career.
M. Pablo Galván Sosa, Director of Quality at Bombardier Transportation Mexico, which has a plant at Ciudad Sahagún, Hidalgo, was invited to the Mechanical Engineering Week "Dr. Arturo Lara López" which is held at Campus Irapuato Salamanca UG.
He spoke with the students about his beginnings helping in his father's workshop, to then graduate from the Division of Engineering (DICIS) where he acquired the theoretical-practical bases from engineering, which he complemented by participating in the organized ASME group, where he developed skill such as communication, managements and social skills.
Currently, companies are looking for people who know their field, but also have the capability to work in teams, leadership, good communication and healthy interpersonal relationships, and showed them how, those who have these capabilities have more opportunities to scale up.
Another guest was Ing. Cuauhtémoc López Romero, who besides being a Mechanical Engineer by UG, continued studying at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey. Initially, he joined a company in Queretaro and today he works at a known auto company, where he has had a steady growth.
It coincided that belonging to organized groups helped him be a good manager, to gain confidence and have initiative, hence, he invited all the youth to participate in extracurricular activities such as those held at ASME – SOMIM.
