León, Gto., March 18, 2017.- With the purpose to contribute to the vision of those who are interested in research, independently of the discipline addressed, different professors of the University of Guanajuato gathered to shape a project that today emerges as a book called: "Trabajo de Campo. Diferentes senderos desde estudios sociales."

The intention of the material is to build an important support in addressing different methods of study and research, especially for the social sciences students.

Dr. Jesica Vega Zayas, professor-researcher of the Department of Social Studies, ascribed to Campus Leon, is co-author of one the chapter of this book. Her discipline is anthropology and she wrote the text next to Dr. Áurea Valerdi, titled ""Del cuestionario a la entrevista, de la entrevista al testimonio: Alcances y limitaciones", which shows how qualitative research must boarded.

Besides showing their reach and potential, Dr. Vega remarks that she also pretends to criticize in a way so, when it is about social sciences, some researchers make use of qualitative methodologies which many times have been designed for the type of work they develop.

She mentioned that due to the study of social sciences, she focuses on society and the person, it takes longer to complete any research work than in Chemistry or Physics. For example, the documenting work and text production, UG doctors took almost a year.

The coordinator, who also adds a chapter to the book, was Dr. Brigitte Lamy, professor-researcher responsible for the project, which is a recompilation of testimonies on research methodology.

Dr. Brigitte Lamy, scholar of Campus Guanajuato in company of Dr. Jesica Vega, had the editorial presentation at the 38th International Book Fair of the Mining Palace at Mexico City.
