Tierra Blanca, Gto., March 22, 2017.- With the objective to approach to the social environment the research generated by the professors of the University of Guanajuato (UG), it was held the second Journey of Induction to Science and Technology at the Northeastern Interdisciplinary Center (CINUG).

For two days and in collaboration with the municipal authorities, they made activities that allowed to show that studying science and technology is at the reach of every sector, encourage the students in the study of the different disciplines that UG offers and link the university with the social environment.

The main actors of these activities were the high school students of public and private schools from the cities of San Luis de la Paz, Doctor Mora, Tierra Blanca, San José Iturbide, with an attendance of over 350 people.

They highlighted the first-time presentation of the Estudiantina of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca in the city of Tierra Blanca, and the "Demonstration of musical instruments of Ancient Mexico" by the musician Néstor Vargas Rivas.

With these actions, the cultural activities that address the social context in congruence with the educational model of UG is encouraged, which influences in the comprehensive formation of its students, allowing the accessibility to culture.

The journey is oriented to directly influence in the high school students so they may continue their academic formation by studying a degree. At the event participated, CINUG's Coordinator, Ing. Alfredo Mozqueda Córdova; CINUG's professors, Dr. Vicente Pérez García, Dr. Daniel Jáuregui Vázquez; as well as the professor of the Division of Sciences and Engineering of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. J. Juan Rosales García; as well as Lic. Alma Delia Torres Rodríguez, responsible of CINUG's promotion and diffusion.
