jornadas-internacionales-escritores-hispanoamericanos-universidad-guanajuato-ug-ugtoGuanajuato, Gto., March 26, 2017.- This Wednesday March 29, will begin the first International Journeys of the Small Gallery of the Spanish-American Writer, which is held within the Project Gallery of Ideas and Letters, developed by professors of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities (DCSH) of Campus Guanajuato of the University of Guanajuato (UG).

Dr. Asunción Rangel López, of the Department of Spanish Letters of DCSH and responsible of the project, explained that in this editorial work are involved UNAM researchers, from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nuevo León, and of course, the University of Guanajuato.

So, since 10 am at the Baroque chapel of the Town's Museum, researchers from the University of Hamburg, the Universidad de Buenos Aires, of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, from UNAM, BUAP, Universidad Veracruzana, UAM and UASLP, among others.

In this "First International Journeys", will participate the researchers-authors of the books through a talk-conference where they'll speak on the collection's essay.

Likewise, the authors Roberto Ferro and Magda Sepúlveda Eriz, will have academic interventions in the Department of Spanish Letters through mini-courses destined for the graduate and postgraduate students.

The Small Gallery of the Spanish-American Writer has been possible thanks to the effort of the collegiate and research done together, and has summed to the editorial efforts of the Department of Spanish Letters, in areas to position UG as an institution that privileges the generation of scientific knowledge, but also seeks to consolidate the important link between academy and society.

As background, it is important to quote that the project Gallery of Ideas and Letters proposed to create a collection, with the similar spirit and mood of the Small Gallery of the Spanish-American Writer, but dedicated to the Philosophical thought of all time. It is about a collection called "Pequeña Galería del Pensamiento."

Another way to link with society, is constituted by the Collection Aguafuerte, whose first delivery was dedicated to Efraín Huerta, "El Gran Cocodrilo", and whose title is "Absoluto amor: cuatro poemas y una carta", is one of a kind. It is about a folfer that reproduces a handwritten letter and four poems of the writer of Guanajuato.

In the most recent edition, the project Gallery of Ideas and Letters, consolidated the Collection Aguafuerte through a publication of a folder dedicated to Alfonso Reyes: the reproduction of some notes done by the poet during the reading of Machiavelli.

The purpose of the this project, is to form with the books the Small Gallery of the Spanish-American writer, and reach all the institutional and non-institutional spaces in areas to encourage, effectively, reading works from José Emilio Pacheco, Virgilio Piñera, Gabriel García Márquez, José Revueltas, Gabriela Mistral, Julio Cortázar, Vicente Huidobro, Efraín Huerta, Juan José Arreola & José Carlos Mariátegui.
