
Guanajuato, Gto., March 29, 2017.- Dialogue, reflect, criticize, confront and give a privileged place to thinking, is what will occur at the Fist International Journeys of the Small Gallery of the Spanish American Writer, which was inaugurated with the purpose to generate a space to talk about different possibilities of reading that emerge from the classic authors of Spanish America.
From March 29-31, at the Baroque Chapel of the Town's Museum there will be master conferences and editorial presentations aimed for students, academics and public. This activity is organized by the Department of Spanish Letters of the University of Guanajuato (UG).
In these journeys, experts will talk about the work of several writers who have left a footprint in the history of literature, such is the case of Vicente Huidobro, José Carlos Mariátegui, José Revueltas, Gabriela Mistral, Julio Cortázar, Macedonio Fernández, Rubén Darío, Alejo Carpentier, Gabriel García Márquez, José Emilio Pacheco, Efraín Huerta & Juan José Arreola.
To the opening act, attended UG's Academic Secretary, Dr. Raúl Arias Lovillo, representing the General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, and recognized the energy of Dr. Asunción Rangel, coordinator of the project, because thanks to her effort, the students will have the opportunity to listen, dialogue and learn from distinct national and international academics.
Dr. Rangel, expressed that the academic projects must be done with "love and blood" to make sense, with this delivery us how you present a quality programming, composed by five master conferences and two editorial presentations. She thanked the team who made possible to hold the Journeys and invited the public to come close to the reading encouragement activities.
The director of the Department of Spanish Letters, Dr. Andreas Kurz, highlighted that this Journeys will be an initiative that will converge with discussion, meditation, criticism and theory that will unravel new ideas, thoughts and polemic.
To the opening also attended: The Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. César Federico Macías and the Academic Secretary of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Claudia Gutiérrez Padilla.
