Guanajuato, Gto., April 17, 2017.- The University of Guanajuato (UG) reaffirms its commitment to offer quality spaces for the comprehensive formation of its students and all the university community.

Reason why the High School College (CNMS) present in 10 cities: León, Guanajuato, Pénjamo, Celaya, Salamanca, Silao, San Luis de la Paz, Salvatierra and Irapuato, reinforces its infrastructure through a work plan that has been developing since last year until today.

CNMS' Director, Dr. J. Merced Rizo Carmona, commented that in his strategies to improve the infrastructure of the high schools have three phases: construction, rehabilitation and maintenance.

For the students to have a good performance and efficient academic development, they have invested in construction and equipment of libraries, computing centers, several laboratories, sport areas and cafeteria.

In 2016, there was a 55 million 499 thousand pesos' investment which were used to improve the spaces from all the schools that compose the CNMS of the University of Guanajuato.

This amount was achieved thanks to the support from the Department of Negotiation and Development of UG, they also invested resources from the own schools, contested in Investment Funds for Physical Infrastructure for High Education of SEP (FCIIEMS 2016).

They also had the support from the Fund of Multiple Contributions and federal and state resources negotiated by congressmen and senators.

For 2017, they have an initial investment of 10 million 536 thousand pesos, with the purpose to continue with the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of the high school college, however, they expect to contest for more investment funds and make the corresponding negotiations to reinforce the educational infrastructure.

It is important to mention, CNMS has two educational programs with great quality, the General Baccalaureate and the Bivalent Baccalaureate.
