
León, Gto., April 26, 2017.- The third edition of the book titles "General Surgery Treaty" was presented at Campus León of the University of Guanajuato (UG), with the purpose to show the importance of a publication in favor of health.
The event gathered experts in the topic, who are co-authors of the book and presented the same. The General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, highlighted the work done by the researchers to provide knowledge through scientific progress and so, contribute in a social and environment improvement.
The Rector of Campus León, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, indicated that this work is an innovative edition made by the Editorial Manual Moderno, in collaboration with the Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía General and the University of Guanajuato. In addition, he remarked that the book has the purpose to increase the tools of the new surgeon generations and prepare them comprehensively.
Dr. Éctor Jaime Ramírez Barba, one of the editors, commented that the book emerged from the uneasiness to generate a treaty and so, provide bibliography to health professionals with a strong social and academic commitment in high level surgery.
The "General Surgery Treaty" is composed by 263 chapters and an introduction to surgery, as well fundamental and select topics in health. In addition of the paper publication, they also have an electronic edition.
Dr. Héctor Armando Cisneros, co-editor, mentioned that for 13 years they have made three editions, and for this one, "they created work groups to make an updated and new scientific work, useful for physicians and, as a consult for all the health personnel."
At the presidium were also present the co-editors: Dr. José Luis Morales Saavedra; Dr. Juan Carlos Mayagoitia González; Dr. Héctor Armando Cisneros Muñoz; and Dr. Daniel Alberto Díaz Martínez.
