Guanajuato, Gto., April 28, 2017.- The development of Bio architecture is based on four fundamental pillars that are: viable economy, must be socially just, ecologically correct, as well as culturally renewable.
That is what Architect Peter Van Lengen explained during his talk "Edifications in harmony with its ecosystem", presented in the 1st Forum of Sustainable Architecture, organized by the students of the major in Architecture of the Division of Architecture, Art and Design.
The outstanding speaker, explained with the attendants that architects must imitate nature's intelligence, "we use the imagination, since being an architect means to become a creator, a dreamer (...) it is about moving materials to make something divine".
He commented, as a promoter of the development of Bio architecture in our environments, they have the environment as priority and the wellbeing of who will habit the space.
He made clear that with the budget they make the constructions, 70% is used for workforce; he added that the main materials used are water, soil, sand, straw and manure. "Expending more, means greater damage to the environment", he assured.
According his experience, Van Legen indicated that today, the trends of the customers who decide to develop Bio architecture projects, focus on developing green roofs, solar energy, rain water capture, as well as to use adobe and bamboo. However, commented, "there still a long path to take in the topic of dry bathrooms, which is not widely accepted today".
Regarding the use of adobe in construction, he explained it is a highly recommendable material, since it is made by feet and hand, the material maintains all the energy of the people who created it; when commenting that "places store the energy of the facts that occurred there".
