Salamanca, Gto. May 4, 2017.- Students of the Division of Engineering of the University of Guanajuato, stimulated the children's interest in science, with an expo of 30 scientific projects in a didactic and fun wat, at the House of Culture of Salamanca.

In the patio, the college students exhibited their physics and chemistry projects, renewable energies, material coloring, electricity, robotics, energy, optics, lasers and mini-low cars.

Students from the majors in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanics, Computing Systems and Electronic Engineering of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, participated in the first edition of the Fair of Science and Technology "E3 Fair".

The expo was organized by members of the American Society of Mechanic Engineers (ASME) and the fraternity Pi Tau Sigma, of the same Division, with the concept "Science for Children."

Around 350 elementary school students, from the schools 15 de septiembre, Guadalupe Arroyo, Pemex 4, Francisco I. Madero, Niños Héroes and some others, made the tour by the stands and participated in the dynamics.

Dr. Abel Hernández Guerrero, national researcher and advisor of both student associations, mentioned that the objective of organizing the fair, is to kindly bring the concepts of science and technology to elementary students, mainly in public schools.

This way, the University of Guanajuato contributes to the diffusion of science to awaken the interest in children and youth to pave their future into research and innovation, as one of the main development tools of the countries.
