Guanajuato, Gto., May 4, 2017.- Students from several semesters of the major in Scenic Arts of the University of Guanajuato (UG) will present the play "Doña Rosita la soltera o el lenguaje de las flores" of the renowned Spanish poet and dramaturge, Federico García Lorca.
The previous, is a result of the subject "Puesta en escena" taught by the professor Agustín Ramos, who is the director of the play. UG students expressed to be very excited to put in practice the knowledge they have acquired during the major.
They are convinced that the institution has given the necessary tools to present a quality event, "we have had a good theatrical training and each one of us gives his best on stage, it doesn't matter how many functions we have a day", commented.
At the end of May, they will have several functions in one day, to reach a larger number of people if possible. Montserrat Diego, student, and main character as Doña Rosita, mentioned that making a play implies many challenges, since besides theatrical training, dressing and scenography, you must make an efficient management so it can be represented in different places.
On "Doña Rosita la soltera o el lenguaje de las flroes", the students explained it is about a love that never consummates, of Doña Rosita's waiting for her first illusion, a man who must leave because of work but promises to comeback, doesn't and Doña Rosita never ever believes in love again.
Adriana Hernández, member of the play, said that the situation of plot can be reflected today, so she invited the audience to go see the play, "it is a dramatic play where we can find love, loneliness, sadness, deceive, and hope. It is very likely that more than one identifies with some of the characters", she mentioned.
More than 20 students of the University of Guanajuato participate in this play; they develop as actors, actresses, scenographers, dancers, illumination technicians, producers and managers.
