Comonfort, Gto., May 5, 2017.- Students of the University of Guanajuato (UG) took an itinerating interactive museum to children of the community in Neutla, Comonfort, through the project "Explicaciones Interactivas de la Ciencia y las Aplicaciones Reales de la Tecnología" (EXPLICARTE).
This is one of the high social impact projects of the Division of Engineering of Campus Irapuato Salamanca, in charge of the students who are part of the Laboratory of Vision, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (LaViRIA), led by Dr. Victor Ayala Ramírez.
The beneficiaries were the students from the Colegio Marista in Neutla, host of the V Fair of Science and Technology 2017, organized by the same school.
EXPLICARTE, consists in developing contents for an interactive itinerating museum which can be showed to kids, youth, professors and public in any place of the state of Guanajuato.
One of the preponderant features is the utilization of "man-machine" advanced interfaces in the interaction mechanisms. Such itinerating sample was mainly proposed for margined, rural, and hard-access zones in the entity.
The children were very interested, because the interactive applications: Virtual Areas, Bernoulli, Gauss Campaign, Wordhunter, Conjuntos, Gravity, The Plant and the Magic Window, managed to capture the interest in science in a fun way, awakening the spirit for research and the taste for technology at an early age.
The participating students of LaViRIA were Jesús Abraham Estrada Salazar, Juan Pablo García Murillo, Andrea Melissa Gómez Rosales, el Maestro Uriel Haile Hernández Belmonte, student of the Doctorate in Electrical Engineering and their director, Dr. Victor Ayala Ramírez, who coexisted with the students, showing them some the fun interactive learning applications and tools of the project.
The execution of this initiative will contribute to the development of a scientific and technological culture which enables the active participation of a state community in the different aspects of science and technology.
