
Guanajuato, Gto., May 5, 2017. The Campus Guanajuato of the University of Guanajuato (UG) will make one more edition of the Class Heritage, program encouraged since 2015 and this time has as a special guest, Dr. Joan Santacana, archeologist, museologist and self-taught person from the Universidad de Barcelona, Spain.
On May 8, 9, 11 and 12, Dr. Santacana, key character in the topic of heritage in the world will give a workshop "Didáctica del Patrimonio", where 23 characters from different institutions who will participate from their lines of action with the main task to preserve the heritage of the state of Guanajuato and Querétaro.
This time, they'll have the presence of representatives from: Centro INAH Guanajuato, INAH Querétaro, Gobierno del Estado de Guanajuato, Ayuntamiento de Guanajuato, Ayuntamiento de León and the University of Guanajuato.
M. Ada María Lara Meza and Rolando Briseño León, members of the Class Heritage mentioned that the workshops have two primary functions: update all the people who occupy in the care, preservation and diffusion of the heritage from distinct institutions, as well as position the University of Guanajuato as a leader institutions in the country's central region related in this topic.
The latter, after saying, "the care and preservation of the heritage is one of the main functions of the University of Guanajuato".
Briseño León, revealed that the workshop, "will allow to understand, simplify and use the technologic tools to divulge the interpretations made by the specialists and be printed in infographics at the museums as means of knowledge."
Likewise, explained that the participants will have an approach to the state in which the projects are in the city of Guanajuato, since the workshop giver tends to make thorough visits to places and museums with heritage importance to form complex work groups and influence in them having a wider relative vision to the diffusion of knowledge regarding heritage.
Dr. Joan Santacana, is part of a group of specialists at the Universidad de Barcelona, who have made uncountable works in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as coordinating research projects and has been present in different symposiums on the topic around the world.
It is important to mention that the Class Heritage is an institutional program to strengthen the academic topic in the University of Guanajuato, where professors get involved and from which emerges this project that each edition has managed to gather people from different disciplines such as historians, lawyers, communicators, who dedicate to the care, preservation, registry, diffusion, divulgation and education of the cultural and material heritage.
