León, Guanajuato, May 5, 2017.- The University of Guanajuato has had a strong presence in the National Book Fair of León with several presentations, one of these is "Democracia en America Latina. Entre el ideal utópico y las realidades políticas" which had the participation of the coordinators, Dr. Alex Caldera Ortega and Dr. Armando Chaguaceda Noriega, in addition of the commentaries done by Ixchel Araujo Padilla and Dr. Carlos Torrealba.

The text offers the reader a panorama of the current situation in Latin American countries and the perspectives of the guests who were present in the activities of the Seminar Emergent Change and Dynamics in Latin America, organized by scholars of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of Campus León of the University of Guanajuato.

Dr. Alex Ricardo Ortega mentioned on the importance on knowing the different scenarios and the most important aspects that intervene in the democratic path in Mexico, as well as the present circumstances in the case of Venezuela where he mentioned "there is a violation of the human rights, a high percentage of inflation, poverty and inequality."

Likewise, Dr. Armando Chaguaceda mentioned that the content of the book is the result of the preoccupation of the scholars of Campus Leon, who discussed several topics with specialists who enriched what was printed on the book.

Ixchel Araujo Padilla gave a testimony of what she lived in Venezuela during his stay as part of his research project in which he told the difficult situation the population lives by the shortage of food and insecurity. In his intervention, she made a connection with what she lived and what is on the book and invited to the reflection of the current situation in that country.

On his part, Dr. Carlos Torrealba from Venezuela explained the attendants the aspects that have led the south American country to be one of the most studied cases by the decisions of the first commander and the way it is reflected in the book.
