
Guanajuato, Gto., May 8, 2017.- With the purpose to make an analysis of the new Labor Reform in our country, there was an inauguration of the "Journeys of Labor Law" organized by the Division of Law, Politics and Government of the University of Guanajuato.
The event, will last two days, May 8 – 9, where several scholars and experts in the topic gather to talk about the Labor Reform, the challenges and perspectives regarding labor justice and the area of the Collective Law.
At the inauguration, the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, welcomed everyone on behalf of the university community and applauded these academic acts to seek the construction of the debate and the formation of new theoretical models.
He mentioned that the journeys are developed within the centennial celebrations of the Political Constitution of the United States of Mexico, hence it is important to talk about a radical transformation of the labor relations and the legal order. He mentioned that there are old problems in labor such as exploitation or modern slavery, for such reason, it is important to address them and try to establish proposals before such situations from the University of Guanajuato, institution that –he said—reaffirms its humanist feature and social commitment.
The director of the Division of Law, Politics and Government, Dr. Eduardo Pérez Alonso, indicated that the Labor Law appeals to have worthy and well paid employments. Likewise, he expressed that the analysis of the constitutional reforms is necessary to achieve an efficiency regarding the worker's rights.
M. Miguel Ángel Cervantes Flores, legal liaison of Campus Guanajuato, representing Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, highlighted that, during the journeys, they'll address the right for work, through the presentation of several specialists in the topic.
To finalize, the magister Luis Gerardo de la Peña Gutiérrez, President of the Federal Court of Conciliation and Arbitration, invited all the students, professors and interested in the topic, to approach the event and have in mind several aspects of labor justice through an academic analysis of the article 123 of our constitution.
