Salamanca, Gto. May 8, 2017.- National researchers and representatives of the industrial sector, contrast today's engineering progress in their multidisciplinary context at the Congress "La Ingeniería en la Actualidad", organized by the student branch of Engineers in Electricity and Electronic (IEEE) of the University of Guanajuato.
Research are presented at the Division of Engineering of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, these are related with bio inspired robots, meaning, those who reflect the biological mechanisms with which the living beings move in their ambience.
They also talked about research related with bio inspired computing, which introduces non-conventional computing models with evolutive algorithms and artificial neural networks, as well as software engineering and cloud computing, among other avant-garde topics.
IEEE's President of the Guanajuato Chapter, engineer Javier Magaña Hernández, remarked that this is the most important technical organization in the world, it holds together 423,000 members from 180 countries, from which 117,000 are students, who have access to the technical documents the institute generates, in addition, it generates quality norms that guide the companies.
The advisor of the IEEE's student branch, Dr. Mario Alberto Ibarra Manzano, presented the conference program, with the participation of the Level III National researcher, Dr. Jorge Ojeda Castañeda; Dr. Horacio Rostro González, member of the Mexican Academy of the Science of Systems; Dr. Carlos Hugo García Capulín, Dr. Sergio Eduardo Ledesma Orozco and a UG graduate who now collaborates with the industry, Dr. Juan Carlos Ruíz, who presented an approach to software engineering in Mexico.
The congress began with the topic "Codificación espacio-temporal para fotografía tridimensional" in charge of Dr. Jorge Ojeda, who presented a comparison of the photographic cameras and its evolution, from the very first Polaroid that printed instant color photos, the SX70, going through the first digital camera invented by Steven J. Sasoon, which weighed 2.5kg and recorded the images in a cassette, until he reached the new proposals for the acoustic, optical and electronic systems.
The event was inaugurated by the Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca of UG, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz, who expected for the congress to raise the quality of the research and teaching at the Division of Engineering.
