
Salamanca, Gto., May 17, 2017.- The effects of the free trade in Mexico, and the global challenges, were presented by seven experts in international trade at the Division of Engineering (DICIS) of the University of Guanajuato.
Facing the possible modification of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), a trilateral treaty valid since 1994, the analysis of this topic was beyond timely for the 962 attendants to the first journey of Negotiation and International Trade, which is organized by professors of the program in Business Management.
The conferences were given by the scholar and characters of the Mexican external trade, who come from universities such as the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, the Fideicomiso para la Competitivadad y Seguridad Ciudadana (FICOSEC), of the Asociación de Agentes Aduanales de Tijuana y Tecate, from the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences, also from the Division of Engineering, both belong to the University of Guanajuato.
For two days, the Department of Art and Business was the host for Dr. Jesús Ernesto Rocha Ibarra, who spoke about the conditions and work environment as an incentive for labor productivity in Mexico, as for Dr. Felipe Moreno Yebra, exposed the business management and international trade in customs law and how companies must act to fulfill such law.
Dr. Hugo Acosta Martínez dictated the conference "Aspectos relevantes del comercio international en las exportaciones del sector empresarial" and Dr. María de Lourdes Treviño Villareal presented "Los efectos del libre comercio en la region noreste de México".
Regarding the relocation policies of industries with heterogeneous firms, Dr. Jaime García de Rosa spoke about the challenges of the Mexican shoe industry in a global environment and the M.F. Yashiro Danahi Cisneros Reyes made the exposition. Dr. César Augusto Domínguez Crespo, made his contribution by addressing actual topics in international trade.
In the mentioned journey participated, the Director of the Department of Art and Business, Dr. Reynaldo Thompson López and the Coordinator of the Program of Business Management, Dr. Ernesto Jesús Rocha Ibarra, who mentioned that this first journey set the bases for a replica in the future.
