
Guanajuato, Gto., May 17, 2017.- The IV Encounter of Youth and Children Orchestras of the University of Guanajuato (UG) 2017, ended with a concert full of energy and union, where children and youth from different campus, schools and divisions of UG, fused to form a large ensemble composed for nearly 180 musicians.
The event was held at UG's General Auditorium, place that was filled with attendants that could enjoy a genuine musical night. The program that the orchestra played divided in two parts, the first, had plays from renowned composers such as Beethoven, Dvorak and Rachmaninoff.
Then, the second part, had selections of "El pájaro de fuego" of Igor Stravinsky and plays from the Mexican composer Arturo Márquez.
The concert was presented as the result of the encounter, where 6-year old children and youth until 28 years old participated. It is important to mention that the University of Guanajuato through its high school, retook the orchestra encounters made by the National System of Musical Encouragement of the Department of Culture.
Reason why, they made an encounter that began on May 12 and finalized on the 16th. This event became a space for academic coexistence between professors and students who arduously worked for five intense days to create a collaborative labor concluding in a concert.
The audience was listening to the music closely, the plays they interpreted where from diverse times and contexts, reason why the attendants enjoyed a unique versatility, created by a set of musicians from different ages who mimicked thanks to the melodies they played to express the most sublime language: music.
The following orchestras participated in the concert: UG's Orquesta Infantil de Música; students of the UG's Orquesta Estudiantil; UG's Ensemble of Campus Celaya- Salvatierra; the Orquesta Escuela de Puerto Vallarta, conducted by M. Daniel Oliveros; masters of the Filarmónica Infantil de Manzanillo Colima; youth from the Orquesta Sinfónica Carlos Chávez, considered as the most important youth orchestra in Mexico of the Sistema Nacional del Fomento musical, conducted by M. Mario Rodríguez.
