
León, Gto., May 19, 2017.- To concrete and operate the agreement signed between the University of Guanajuato and the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing there was an official academic meeting between authorities of both universities in the city of Oxford, England.
From the University of Guanajuato attended Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of Campus Leon, Dr. Alejandro Klein, director of the Department of Public Management and Development of Campus León and Dr. Sergio Silva of the Office of International Relations and Academic Collaboration. From the Oxford Institute was present Dr. George Lesson.
The meeting was very positive and concreted the following steps of the academic and liaison activities which will begin to implement the agreement signed in 2016. They will also concrete exchanges of professors and students and will make collaborative work in several research lines.
Dr. Klein thanked for the trust given to lead this academic agreement and assured that one of the main tasks of the University of Guanajuato is the internationalization.
Finally, it was agreed that on the 21, 22 and 23 of September this year, there will be an official opening of the exchange actions between both institutions parting from an interdisciplinary seminar of Campus León titles "Understanding the Ageing of Our Populations" together with the third LARNA (Latin American Research Network on Ageing) workshop.
