se-realiza-primer-foro-de-investigcion-cientifica-y-tecnologia-ug-ugtoSalvatierra Gto., May 25, 2017.- The 1st Forum of Scientific and Technological Research, Salvatierra 2017 was inaugurated. Organized by the University of Guanajuato (UG), Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, with the master conference "Exploring the evolutional route that allows some plants to synthetize glycine-betaine, an osmoprotector that contributes to prevent the hydric stress", given by Dr. Héctor Riveros-Rosas, of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Autónoma de México.

The forum has the best research done by the participants of the scientific community in the region, in social and administrative sciences, and health sciences and engineering.

Being an open space to the scientific community, it had the participation of the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Ciudad Hidalgo, of the Universidad de Querétaro, of the Universidad de Baja California, of the Universidad Latina and the Campus Celaya-Salvatierra of the University of Guanajuato.

Throughout the semester, seven conferences were organized in the framework of the 3rd seminar of Scientific Research, which had the presence of researchers with national prestige, in the mentioned areas. They received 22 research papers, from which they selected five, same that were presented in the Forum in the exposition modality. They also exhibited 17 posters regarding the addressed topics.

From the University of Guanajuato, Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, the organizers came the divisions of Health and Engineering and Social and Administrative Sciences through the academic bodies of "Migration and vulnerable groups", "Biotechnology, sustainability and engineering" and "Agro-industrial technology", who form the group of scientific-academic-technological development, in the venue Salvatierra.

The talks were: Musical violence, gender and social constructions, dictated by José Luis Aguilera Rodríguez of the Division of Health Sciences and Engineering of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra; as well as Evaluation of the gastric protection of the Chan seed mucilage, by Adriana Martínez Ríos of the Department of Agro-Industrial Engineering of UG.

Also: The environmental education as a tool for urban sustainability, experiences in Tijuana, B.C. and Salvatierra, Gto., by Dulce María Reyes Barrera of the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California; Quality of the labor life in university teachers, by Gabriela Maldonado Galván, of the Universidad Autónoma de Queretaro and Analysis of the volatile organic compounds produced by Trichoderma spp, for the biocontrol of the net blotch Hordeum Vulgare, caused by the phytopathogen Dreschlera teres, developed by Kevin Soto Alanis, of the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Ciudad Hidalgo.

After a morning with intense activity, the works of this forum were closed with a recognition to the best talk and the best work presented as a poster.
