Guanajuato, Gto., May 29, 2017.- Next June 2, it will be held the II Student Journey in Musical Research organized by the Department of Music of the University of Guanajuato (DEMUG).

This time, the journey has the topics of technique, expression, interpretation and musical expression. For a day, the student community will be able to listen master conferences and talks regarding different research done about music.

The inauguration will be at 09:00hrs, to then begin with the activities of the master conference called "Musicology and Ethnomusicology: fields, application and possibilities", by DEMUG's professor, Dr. Alfonso Pérez Sánchez.

Then, at 10:00hrs the talks will begin, under the topic "Historical chords of the guitar". Many students of the degree in Music will present their research in which they'll address topics on the evolution of the classical guitar, as well as the contextual and musical analysis of pieces written for guitar.

"Nationalist paths of pianism in Mexico" is the name of the following talk-table which will begin at 11:00hrs, here they will speak about the results obtained prating from the historical and interpretative analysis of piano pieces, written by composers such as Juan Pablo Moncayo, Hermilio Hernández and Mario Ruiz Armengol.

At 12:00hrs, the activities will continue with the presentation of the research from the university community, now focused in the interpretation techniques of wind instruments, where they'll talk about the characteristics of the oboe and the trumpet.

Also, whoever attends the II Student Journey of Musical Research, will know about the "Cancionística Mexicana de los siglos XIX and XX", the "Diversidad de lose studios musicales en México" and the "Música Mexicana para cuerdas y piano del siglo XX". The activities will finish at 16:00hrs.

It is worth to mention that, with the second edition of the Student Journey, they pretend to form the interest in research activities on historic, systematic and applied musicology in undergraduate students, through the oral-written exposition and musical interpretation of the results of research done on documents and musical practice that possess relevant historical, cultural, artistic, scientific and social values.
