Celaya, Gto., June 12, 2017.- With the purpose to divulge the results of the research projects made in the learning units I & II, and exchange the knowledge about the research process, was celebrated the 3rd Research Congress of students in the degree of Nursing and Midwifery of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra of the University of Guanajuato (UG).

The students who participated in the Congress divulgated their research protocols and reports generated as part of their learning process.

Within the activities, Dr. Leticia Casique gave the conference "The importance of research in nursing" where she emphasized the transcendent it results that the University forms quality researchers, who contribute through their work, to transform and improve their health environment in which they're immerse.

Currently there are important changes in the academic college formation, and involving the students in the research processes, allows to fulfill with the objective to generate more and better knowledge that contributes in achieving the desired changes, she said.

Dr. José Manuel Herrera Paredes, member of the academic body Life style and Chronicity, gave the conference "The panorama of research in nursing in Mexico", and mentioned that the nursing students must introduce themselves in research as a scientific process that validates, improves and generates knowledge on auto-care as the object of study.

It was an event where all the students of the degree in Nursing and midwifery presented their work in the modality of cartel and poster so they could share their findings and experiences on the research made.

At the inauguration were present Dr. Israel Enrique Herrera Díaz, Director of the Division of Health Sciences and Engineering; Dr. Josefina Mota Rodríguez, Chief of the Sanitary Jurisdiction No. 3 of the Department of Health; Dr. Ma. Del Rosario Tolentino, Director of the Department of Nursing and midwifery and Dr. José Manuel Herrera Paredes, of the academic body Life Style.

The papers that gathered the requirements to present in this congress are the following: Causes of the pharma codependency in adults and youth who go to gyms in Celaya, Gto.; Motives of drug consumption in the homosexual population; Relation between the academic stress and academic performance among the college students; Cultural pattern of the adolescent who suffers violence; Repercussion of the knowledge of the mothers on feeding children with Down syndrome, who are overweight; Perception of the adolescent before the addictive behavior of the alcoholic parent; Pharmacological knowledge and self-medication in nursing students; Emotional manifestations of the elder when entering the retirement home; Influence of the social networks in the academic performance of the students of the University of Guanajuato; Sexual satisfaction in the menopause and menopause.
