obtienen-pase-al-nacional-e-internacional-expociencias-estudiantes-enms-ug-ugtoGuanajuato, Gto., June 26, 2017.- High school students of the University of Guanajuato (UG) obtained 1 platinum medal, 1 gold medal, 5 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals, in the fourth edition of ExpoSciences Guanajuato.

The event was mad after the presentation of high quality scientific research and divulgation projects, at the facilities of Cecyteg Guanajuato, in Guanajuato city.

From the 30 projects presented, UG participated with 16, from which 6 were from HS Guanajuato, other 6 from HS Salvatierra and 2 bachelor degree projects.

ExpoSciences Guanajuato is the contest of scientific and technological projects for students in preschool, basic level and high school and degree which gathers the cities from the state of Guanajuato.

Who participated, presented before experts and audience, the results obtained in each project, same that were analyzed and evaluated.

A team from HS Guanajuato obtained the platinum medal and with it, the certification for ExpoSciences Latin America 2018 in Antofagasta, Chile, in July 2018; formed by Miguel Alejandro Rangel Juárez, Karla Yanet Manjarrez Velázquez and Marina Alejandra Sofía Barajas Padilla, assessed by Dr. Claudia Erika Morales Hernández, with the project "Learning experimental anatomy", focused for children.

Two teams from HS Salvatierra obtained gold medals and with it, the direct pass to compete in the National ExpoSciences 2017, to be held in December in Baja California Sur, represented by the student Cosette Durán Castillo and the students Luis Giovanni Echeverría Herman and David Leonel Vaca Cruz, who were assessed by M. Guillermo Caballero Tinajero.

Three student teams who worked in Scientific and Entrepreneur Gangs of HS Guanajuato won silver medals. They are Sofía Morales Franco and Brenda Michelle Betancourt Menchaca with the project "influence of music and movement in the plant growth."

Axel Jesús Rangel Ramírez with the project "Elaboration of Ecological Plates", Lili Sofía Hernández Reséndiz and Hanny Guadalupe García Granados with the project "How does the absence of light influence the growth of plants?", assessed by Dr. Claudia Erika Morales Hernández, and with the mentorship of HS Guanajuato's students.

They also obtained a bronze medal with the project "Ergonomic chair", presented by Andrés Negrete Díaz, student at HS Guanajuato, whose advisor was Dr. Claudia Erika Morales Hernández.

This is how another edition of ExpoScience Guanajuato concluded, with an outstanding participation of high school students, obtaining 10 medals in the state certification, and profile to represent the state and the University of Guanajuato in the national and international stage.
