Guanajuato, Gto. August 2, 2017.- "Who makes research, transforms their reality" these were the words of the Director of the High School College (CNMS for its acronym in Spanish) of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. José Merced Rizo Carmona during the award ceremony for belonging to the Census of Researchers and the inauguration of the first CNMS Research Seminar.

The initiative of the Census of Researchers was an initiative of Dr. Rizo Carmona to strengthen teaching, research, and provide better support to the students in all high schools. "Who makes research, transforms their reality, oneself, a professor who makes research can transform the way of teaching with the students and become an example for the students, who need research methodologies to solve different topics in their ambience", he emphasized.

This initiative was supported by the Direction of Support for Research and Postgraduate (DAIP) of UG, whose responsible is Dr. Mauro Napsuciale Mendivil, mentioned that the main objective of the project is to incentive research to influence in the development and formation of the students.

He said that this kind of research programs aren't common in the high educational institutions; he assured that it is the first national initiative in this sense, which is highly important since research is an inherent activity of the human being and it is important to understand the reason of our environment.

He added that a group of 60 professors will be part of this census and, according each scholar's profile, they will provide the necessary tools to continue with their research, training or liaise whoever is ready to initiate any activity, since it is a heterogeneous group with with professors who are members of the National Researchers System (SNI), professors with initiative and professors who want to start research projects.

One of the professors who will be in the census is M. Claudia Erika Morales Hernández from HS Guanajuato, who said that being part of the project is very important because they generate liaisons between high school and college.

He added that this will have an impact on the students since it will allow them to channel them towards research, uneasiness manifested since childhood; he also assured that is needed to know how to guide with projects with a purpose in their common life and provide them with leadership tools.

During the event, the professors who decided this year to belong to the census of researchers from CNMS were recognized; they committed to contribute knowledge and strengthen the competencies of the student in their comprehensive development, promoting a research culture with scientific calling and generate knowledge in the university community.

At the end of the ceremony, the first research seminar began. Dr. José Merced Rizo Carmona, CNMS' Director; Dr. Jesús Raúl Lugo Martínez, Academic Secretary; and the research committee addressed topics related to the reach these activities will have, such as divulging the generated knowledge and solve of the doubts of the census of researchers regarding creating strategic alliances in research and collaboration networks.
