Guanajuato, Gto., August 5, 2017.- From October 8 to November 9 this year, there will be a cycle of master conferences on the history of Mexico and France. For such purpose, the University of Guanajuato through the Department of History signed a collaboration agreement with the French Alliance of Guanajuato and the Mexican Cultural Centre (MCC), United Kingdom.

The purpose for this agreement is to offer students, scholars and public, a divulgation event of different historical aspects of Mexico and France. "The agreement allows to establish an organized relationship between three educational institutions: the first with learning a language such as French and its culture, the second is related with teaching and learning of history, and the third with the diplomacy and divulgation of the Mexican culture abroad", mentioned Dr. Graciela Velázquez Delgado, director of the Department of History of the University of Guanajuato.

In addition, she mentioned that it is important to collaborate with this type of agreements, "because they allow for the work of professors to be known in an international ambience. We consider that these actions will also promote the mobility of the students in our history programs, as well the professors'. On the other hand, the promotion of our programs will strengthen, so students from other country may be interested to study in them", he added.

For the professor Maider Emma Landivar, Director of the French Alliance of Guanajuato, this collaboration will consolidate the existent relationships between the French Alliance of the University of Guanajuato and the MCC. "Through this agreement, we can reiterate the approach, always in need of renovation, between Mexico and France", she added.

The cycle will be held in the facilities of the French Alliance of Guanajuato and will address the following topics presented by researchers of the Department of History of the University of Guanajuato: On October 8, "Reports of the French Scientific Expedition referred to Central and Northern Mexico", by Dr. José Luis Lara Valdés.
