Guanajuato, Gto., August 4, 2017.- Curiosity is one the most important work tools the graduate of the University of Guanajuato (UG) has, Carlos Alberto Vaquera Araujo, this attribute has led him to study the properties of the matter and energy, besides the origin and beginning of the universe.

Just like him, many researchers in the world have the same desire to identify the nature and origin of things through basic science, reason why, both young and experienced scholars work together to find solutions to problems in Physics.

UG's graduate was recently selected to occupy a position in the Conacyt Professorship, a new scheme to give a job to young researchers. Conacyt professorships are aimed for high potential researchers and technologists and talent in research, technological development and innovation, and that are commissioned to institutions that are benefited in the terms of the current summon.

Carlos Alberto Vaquera Araujo, indicated that 2in the professorship I'll be working with the researcher David Delepine of the Division of Sciences and Engineering at UG, who develops a study on astroparticles and the physics of particles."

It is worthy to mention that the outstanding researcher made a postdoctoral stay in the University of Valencia, Spain, place that led him to collaborate with the Nobel Award of Physics, Frank Wilczek.

In that stay, he worked with the researcher José Valle and with the master's student, Mario Raich, in a topic called "Unificación de families", a study that had its time in the 80s but have some problems that haven't been resolved, that the research was dropped for a long time.

During research, they realized that they needed a reinforcement to work in the topic and the master's student UG's graduate was working with, had the idea to contact the Nobel Award Franck Wilczek, "he answered us confirming that he would like to work with us and so emerged this collaboration", said Carlos Alberto.

Another research line UG's graduate was working on in the University of Valencia, is the generation of mass in the neutrinos, topic he has been researching for a long period, "we don't know why the neutrinos have mass, however, we know they have it. There are many mechanisms in the Physics of Elemental Particles to study the origin of Mass. I chose Valencia because it is the summit of Elemental Particles in Spain and there you find the Corpuscular Institute of Physics, one of the largest institutes of Physics of Particles in Europe."

To finalize, UG's graduate highlighted the one of the main interests is to contribute in the formation of young Mexicans, reason why he is dedicated full time to academy.
