Celaya, Gto., August 10, 2017.- Eight students who participate in the Program of Interinstitutional Mobility arrived to Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, where they will take a semester at this venue of the University of Guanajuato (UG).

Three students of international mobility and five nationals; they come from Colombia and Argentina, as well from different regions of Oaxaca, Zacatecas and Puebla. They're enrolled in the degrees of Nursing and Midwifery, Financial Management and Clinical Psychology.

Arriving to campus, the young students expressed their expectations and uneasiness now that they're far from home and their families. For all of them, it's their first experience outside the house, and it is a great opportunity to study in another university.

The Rector of Campus, Dr. Graciela de la Luz Ruiz Aguilar, welcomed them to the "Legendary beehive" and offered them her support in all the situations required during their stay in the state of Guanajuato, "place where people are kind, friendly and warm", she said.

She talked about the quality of the professors who will teach you, as well as the excellence of the academic programs UG has. She invited to intensively live this stage in their life and set the pace to the professors that more than transmitters of knowledge will become their guides in the learning process, in this "friend university."

"We accepted the challenge expecting growth and share our culture", said Rolando Cortés Ramírez, of the Universidad Benito Juárez of Oaxaca, while Katerine Montes from Colombia offered not to waste the opportunity and take the best profit out of this experience. We are here after new knowledge, cultural enrichment and professional growth, agreed the young students.

Dr. Marcela Ortega Jiménez, Academic Secretary of the Division of Health Sciences and Engineering, invited to fulfill their study objectives and spoke about the services that will be found at UG, and form part of the Educational Model of the Institution.

Dr. Maria Guadalupe Olvera Maldonado, Academic Secretary of the Division of Social and Administrative Sciences, assured that it will be an unforgettable experience and M. Martha Lilia of the Coordination of Educational Programs congratulated them for accepting the challenge to grow although it may cause some anxiety.

Then, the coordinators of Comprehensive Development of the Student and Tutoring gave them a talk about the programs to support the formation the university has and to which they'll have access during their stay at UG.
