
León, Gto., August 17, 2017.- With the purpose to contribute to the formation of researchers with an interdisciplinary focus in topics of diffusion, negotiation, consumption and divulgation of cultural heritage, at Campus León of the University of Guanajuato (UG), will be taught the certification course "Patrimonio cultural y prácticas culturales: aproximaciones interdisciplinarias".
The course was designed by the academic body of Interdisciplinary Studios about Culture and has the objective to provide the students tools and develop the skills that allow them to dimension the research processes of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
In an interview, Dr. José de Jesús Cordero, professor-researcher of the Department of Cultural Studies and member of this academic body mentioned that "the course will contribute in achieving an institutional improvement and strengthen the knowledge of students and professionals."
Also, it is an option for the student community of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of Campus Leon to continue with their professional formation, and, all the professionals who are interested in coursing the diploma to strengthen and update their knowledge in the area.
The course four modules which will have to be taken in 80hrs a week physically and 20hrs in distance. Researchers Dr. Alejandro Mercado Villalobos, Dr. José de Jesús Cordero Domínguez, Dr. Carlota Laura Meneses Sánchez and Dr. Mónica Elivier Sánchez González will be responsible to teach the course which will begin in the first week of September and will last 100 hours.
This way, the University of Guanajuato reaffirms its commitment with the students and offers an option for who is interested to obtain theoretical and practical knowledge for a better professional exercise of the cultural practices and specialization in cultural heritage research.
