
Guanajuato, Gto., August 23, 2017.- With the common objective to work to improve the visual health of the population, the University of Guanajuato (UG) and the School of Graduates in Optometry of the State of Guanajuato (CLOEG for its acronym in Spanish) signed an agreement which will allow them to tighten the collaboration, which began by subscribing a framework agreement.
Through this agreement, CLOEG pretends to provide specialized orientation to the Nursing personnel responsible for the visual evaluation in the University of Guanajuato. They also seek to support in the processes of medical evaluation of UG students by the optometrists.
Likewise, the agreement establishes that they'll seek to elaborate and publish together all kind of elements who contribute to the development of the profession of Optometry and the university.
At the event, UG's Academic Secretary and witness of honor, Dr. Raúl Arias Lovillo, representing the President, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, highlighted the importance of timely detect visual problems to develop everyday activities, so he celebrated the concretion of this initiative that continues a general agreement.
CLOEG's President, Lic. Maximiliano Ricardo Córdova Castellanos mentioned that one of CLOEG's responsibilities is to promote actions that benefit the population, at the same time he thanked UG's willingness to liaise with different social instances.
In the signing of this agreement, a welcome message was given by Dr. Salvador Hernández Castro, Director of Liaison at UG, instance that negotiated the agreement. Also present were the President of the Honor Council at CLOEG, Lic. Manuel Guevara Estrada, and M. Mariana Castro Álvarez, representative of the Director of the Division of Health Sciences of Campus Leon, Dr. Tonatiuh García Campos.
