León, Gto., August 30, 2017.- On the next September 8, the Course in Cultural Management will begin, and this will be taught in the venue Forum of the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus Leon, with which the professionals, students and public can acquire knowledge in this area, in addition of obtaining a specialized formation that allows them to improve their labor and generate quality cultural products.
The course has the objective for the attendant to deepen, improve and develop the professional competencies in the culture doing, in addition that the students can propose creative alternatives that allow to address the needs of the environment.
The course has four modules: Culture and artistic education, Cultural legislation in Mexico, Cultural and creative institutions and industries, Cultural management, challenges and projects. Each module lasts 40hrs, giving a total of 160hrs. M. Gloria Rodríguez, Dr. Ángel Ruíz Vargas, Dr. Karenia Hernández Vallejo & M. Jorge Martínez Micher will be teaching this course and all of them have a vast experience in the area.
It is important to mention that the course is also a mean through which the students at the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of Campus Leon can obtain their degree title, plus, students from other educational institutions can attend, same as he public. The four-month course will be Friday from 14:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00.
Dr. Magali Barbosa Piza, Coordinator of the Course, mentioned in an interview the importance of having a new educational option where "the student can work on his project while taking the module and have an advisor, and, have the collaboration of who teach the course who currently work in that area."
She added that the University of Guanajuato offers this alternative which is very accessible and allows to update the knowledge with experts, in addition UG is offering other options related with culture and human development.
As part of the course's activities, there will be a conference called "Gestióny políticas culturales" on September 8 at 14:00 by the renowned researcher Dr. Benjamín Valdivia.
