Celaya, Gto., September 4, 2017.- Alejandro Rodríguez Cariño, student of the degree in Financial Management at Campus Celaya-Salvatierra of the University of Guanajuato (UG), designed an app that will link users with who offer services such as plumbing, blacksmith, gardening, child care, among others.

"Many times, we need a service and we get in trouble because we don't know anyone who we can trust and do a good job, with "Chambita Express" that problem is solved", mentions the young student, who won the second place in the category of Information Technologies with his project in the Contest of Creativity and Innovation organized by the University of Guanajuato (UG) in coordination with the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI).

About the app "Chambita Express," he exemplifies: "a person who needs a babysitter, but doesn't know someone who could take care of the child, that person can download the app, register and see the options for babysitters that are registered as well, who has the best rating and positive comments. The moment that person finds the one she/he likes and is available, that person can get in touch with the babysitter and will set the schedule and place where they'll meet to provide a service."

The app is designed for iOS and Android. Alejandro Rodríguez says that it is a self-sustaining project; the app will be free, but the person who hires a service will pay a 15% fee plus the agreed cost. "At the end of the service, the person must tell the app the job was done satisfactorily and the application releases the payment to who offered the service", he explained.

Through the application, you can contact the plumbers, blacksmiths, carpenters, house maids, babysitters, gardeners, masons, electricians, drivers, painters, mechanics, maintenance personnel, locksmiths, make-up artists, stylists. All these people will create their own profile, where they can publish photos of their previous work, their photo, work experience, school degree, phone number, etcetera.

The student is confident that the project will contribute to increase the job offers to people who are unemployed, because they don't know the means nor the ways to advertise themselves.

Rodríguez Cariño mentioned that the app will be very intuitive and simple, so the user can navigate through it without a hiccup, plus it can be downloaded for free and without advertisement; algorithms will be created to identify which are the services the client is requesting the most, and give the user the best suggestions. It is a scalable and feasible project in the midterm, he assures.

First, they will launch a beta version for the state of Guanajuato and then for all the country, since now there are only social media groups for different jobs, but they lack the organization and logistics to successfully provide those services.

Today, "Chambita Express" is a project that has the collaboration of two programmers, a designer, a marketer and an accountant. Currently, they are in the prototype stage and require investors who are willing to scale the project.
