Guanajuato, Gto., 08 de septiembre de 2017.- With ludic activities and with an interest to share their knowledge with children from the elementary schools in the state of Guanajuato, Water Culture Youth Brigades participated in the Water Fair "My sustainable school".
The HS Guanajuato, León Centro Histórico and Salamanca's brigades organized different dynamics which through experiments and games allowed to learn and reflect about water, its properties and care.
The brigade of HS Guanajuato with the project "Water engineers", explained to the children about the physical and chemical properties of the water through simple and low-cost experiments. "The experiments were designed by high school students, in them, they applied the knowledge acquired in the classroom: planning, development and explanation; considering that the main audience are preschool and elementary students", said the coordinator.
The brigade of HS Leon Centro Histórico, presented to the children a learning game called "AcuoSudoku" with which they reflected on the characteristics, forms of chemical contamination, treatment and physical contaminants of water. With it, they asked the teams to sort cards in a board, and obtained points by not repeating the colors and study topics.
The brigade of HS Leon presented two puzzles about the cycle of water, with the support of the instructors, they could put images of the states of water together and listen an explanation from the brigadiers about its characteristics and conditions. Likewise, with this brigade they could play hoops after answering questions about water.
Finally, the brigade of HS Salamanca built an ingenious model that explained the cycle of water and the states it represents in life, because "we never know where it begins and where it ends", so it is important to take care of it and not lose it.
The Water Fair seeks for the children to participate in ludic-didactic activities, and they can play and interact at the same time they learn in a fun way about the care of the vital liquid.
