Guanajuato, Gto., September 8, 2017.- Alejandro Espinosa, a student of the degree in Scenic Arts of the University of Guanajuato, has dedicated great part of his life to performing and dance. The latter, is the discipline where he finds a way to share his being with other people.
"Be dancing or acting on stage, for me, means to share your being with other people, you exchange and feel many things."
"Currently, he is at the seventh semester of the degree at the Division of Architecture, Art and Design of Campus Guanajuato; however, his taste for acting began at the age of 12, and at 17 he dabbled in the world of dance.
Since then, the college student finds dancing to connect his senses with other dancers, but also with the audience. He affirms that it has allowed to finance part of his studies, which breaks the common saying "artists starve to death".
The young artist explains that dance as an art, "is a mean to bring us all together as human beings."
In his experience he says, "any human being can move and every movement can become a dance if you have the technique or a reason to exist, so it becomes a great party (...) is contact with another body, but you exchange many things."
In this sense, he affirms that choosing the University of Guanajuato to study was a great decision, since it has opened its doors and allowed him to bring to the maximum his acting qualities, but especially, the dancing qualities.
"Being part of the University of Guanajuato is big, far from serving an institution, it supports us in our academic and personal development, it gives you closeness to everything, and in the job world, it opens great opportunities and contacts."
He adds, "all the contacts I have gotten and that can help my future career, have been because I am part of the University of Guanajuato and the support they give us to go on tour and present in other places and states."
Some of the plays he has participated in, as an actor or dancer in last years are: "Ángeles arribando", "Por el Filo del Descanso", "El Juego del Alebrije" and "Entre Pedro Páramo y las láminas preciadas del sueño."
But the ones he considers that truly left a mark on him, until now, are: "Othello", which led him to step in the Teatro Juárez in Guanajuato; "Todo Puede Ser", presented in the 44th edition of the International Cervantine Festival and "Mentes Fragmentadas", which has been presented in Mexico and Spain.
Because of his career, effort and passion for his degree, Alejandro Espinosa received the Youth Municipal Award 2017 in Guanajuato, in the category of Artistic Expressions, which he says, "it is a great motivation".
Finally, he recommends for all the youth who would like to study arts, "don't be discouraged, fight, and if you really want to dedicate to the world of art in any of its expressions, you must be there and fight, there will be brawls and quarrels, but you always find the reasons and people are going to support you to continue in that path."
