The event was held in the public plaza of Tierra Blanca and it emphasized in the "huapanago arribeño", musical genre that emerges in the states of Guanajuato, Querétaro, and San Luis Potosí.

The audience enjoyed the performance of Vincent Velázquez, musician, poet and "huapanguero" from Xichú. He recently began a solitary project called "palabra viva", participating in various cultural forums in the country and Spanish America.

Another representative of the genre is José Hernández Martínez, violinist huapanguero, who is part of the arribeño quartet with his brothers, and has been working with the famous Guillermo Velázquez and the "Leones de la Sierra de Xichú," for a few months.

This musical genre uses violin, huapango guitar and a jarana or vihuela. The singer usually plays the guitar. The singing is done through poetry, known as "trovas". Its maximum expression is in duels between huapango poets and can last more than 12 hours.

As a symbol of diversity in favor of the culture, the rock band "La Leyenda", from Xichú, accompanied the closing ceremony.

The University of Guanajuato with its venue in the northeast, promotes culture outside the university facilities, and encourages its students to multiply culture, as an important element in the comprehensive formation of people.
