Guanajuato, Gto., September 7, 2017.- The University of Guanajuato (UG) obtained the Award for Quality in Scientific Publication in Social Sciences, to recognize the high impact research papers produced among the academic community.

The award was given by Clarivate Analytics, business who offers trustable information and subscription services focused on academic research and analysis of patents, together with the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt).

The award was received by the Academic Secretary of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Raul Arias Lovillo, representing the President, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, and the university community.

In addition of a diploma and a bronze sculpture, the recognized institutions by the Quality in Scientific Publication, will have free access, for two years, to the tool InCites Benchmarking & Analytics, through which they will have access strategic information.

In the same category of Social Sciences, where Ug resulted winner, the award goes to the areas: Physic Mathematics and Earth Sciences; Biology and Chemistry; Medicine and Health Sciences; Humanities and Behavior Sciences; Biotechnology and Agricultural Sciences; and Engineering.

The award was made within "Entre Pares", event that was held in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and this year's topic was: "Publicar y Navegar en Redes de la Información Científica" (Publish and navigate in Scientific Information Networks).

With this recognition, Clarivate Analytics and Conacyt seek to promote and encourage the production of research papers with high academic impact.
