Aguascalientes, Ags., September 18, 2017.- With the purpose to exchange ideas, successful experiences and implement strategies to improve the indexes of terminal efficiency, the University of Guanajuato (UG) and the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (UAA), signed an academic cooperation agreement.
At the event, UG's President, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino highlighted that both institutions, such as state universities, share uneasiness, problems and common contexts. He highlighted that in leading a university, it is fundamental to learn from other institutions.
Dr. Guerrero Agripino affirmed that, for UG, the subscription of this agreement represents an opportunity to tighten the collaboration ties with UAA, where there already is an academic liaison, and a proof of such is the Interinstitutional Doctorate in Law.
He referred to the shared interest to raise the indexes of terminal efficiency, a topic related to the accountability and responsibility of the universities, "because it is the best way to account to society is by forming its students", said UG's President.
For UG, the terminal efficiency is a priority; improve the indicators implies an institutional effort and a great capability to design different strategies, so he acknowledged the progress that has turned UAA into a national referent in the topic.
The President of the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, Dr. Francisco Javier Avelar González, confirmed that the collaboration ties between universities, "can and will be deepened", especially now that they face scenarios for which they were not prepared.
Also, he too acknowledged the work of Dr. Guerrero at UG, with whom he shares the vision that "the formation of the student is about placing him in a series of obstacles to see how much she/he is capable to overcome", but above all, is an accompaniment.
