
Salamanca, Guanajuato. September 22, 2017.- Two students of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca of the University of Guanajuato (UG), will participate in the "HackHarvard", an international encounter for software programmers, and will be held on October 20-22 at Harvard University in USA.
The students who will represent the Division of Engineering are Saúl Isaac Sánchez Flores, student of the program in Mechatronic Engineering and José Luis López Zaragoza, who courses the program of Communication and Electronic Engineering.
The event is a hackathon, which means, it is a competence where several teams develop hardware and software projects, it is organized by Harvard University in collaboration with organizations such as DELL, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, among others.
The accepted contestants, use several systems known as Arduino, Raspberry, 3D printing, Artificial Intelligence, Python, drones, just to mention some.
When Saúl Sánchez and José Luis López saw the summon for the 36hr encounter, which invited all the interested in discovering new solutions and boost the intersection of technology and society, they were really motivated to prove their ideas and proposals in the hackathon 2017.
After their acceptance, they prepare to attend the historical campus of Harvard, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Harvard is part of the Ivy League and besides being the oldest higher education in United States, is the one with a larger fund. In several rankings, is considered as the best university in the world.
