
Celaya, Gto., September 29, 2017.- Campus Celaya – Salvatierra of the University of Guanajuato invites all the student community, staff and researchers to participate in the First Multidisciplinary Congress of Civil, Agroindustry and Biotechnology Engineering, which is organized with the purpose to reinforce the link between the university and the business sector.
As part of the congress, they are planning to have three master conferences by specialists on topics related to engineering, such as: "Strategies for modeling and analysis of special structures", which will be given by Dr. Fernando Peña Mondragón of the Institute of Engineering of UNAM; "Better use of tropical fruits and byproduct to design functional food", given by the Dr. Victor Manuel Moo Huchin, of ITESCAM; and "Developing Innovative solutions with Mexican technology" given by Dr. Luis Hernández Hernández of StelaGenomics.
With this congress, the University of Guanajuato will liaise with the government and the business to answer a social demand to form professionals focused on research, technological development and innovation.
In addition of the master conferences, they have technological workshops programmed; these will be taught by experts. Also, conferences and presentation of scientific works, and cultural and sport activities. Their objective is to open a space for social, academic, and cultural exchange between students, professors, researchers and society in general.
The focus throughout the congress will be alternative energy, urban infrastructure, biotechnology, environment, transformation of raw materials, renewable resources, etc.
The congress is organized by the academic bodies of Multidisciplinary Studies in Engineering, Science and Agroindustry Technology and Biotechnology, Sustainability and Engineering and will be hold in the venues Salvatierra, Juan Pablo II and Mutualismo of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra.
The event will be from October 24 to 26, and they expect the attendance of a nurtured group of specialists, students and public interested in topics related to the congress.
