profesores-ug-participaron-conferencistas-japon-ugtoGuanajuato, Gto., October 9, 2017.  Professors of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Héctor Plascencia Mora from the Division of Engineering of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, and Dr. Juan Antonio Sánchez Márquez of HS Salamanca, had an excellent participation in international events in Japan.

The events in which UG was present were the 6th GIGAKU Education Conference, the 3rd GIGAKU Techno Park Alliance Meeting 2017 and the 2nd Panel GIGAKU Education, which were organized by the distinguished National Institute of Technology, Nagaoka College.

Dr. Plascencia exposed the main results related to the GIGAKU Techno Park, which has facilities in Silao, Guanajuato. Dr. Juan Antonio Sánchez, gave a conference in the 2nd Panel of GIGAKU Education (The Mexican Kosen: A Mexican Experience of Early Start of Professional Education) about the bivalent baccalaureate program developed by UG and was conceived as a Mexican experience in the beginning of professional education.

Such presentation discussed the following points: The general view of the national education systems and the early start of professional education; Work Integrated Learning (WIL), Work Based Learning (WBL), the Education of Sustainable Development, the Scientific Focus for Technology and the Science of Technology (GIGAKU).

The main objective of these events was to define the challenges, opportunity areas and the lines to follow to improve the learning-teaching process in the Engineering degrees and the strengthening of the Bivalent Baccalaureate as well as the Industry-Academy relationships and the exchange of opinions that result in future collaborations.
