Guanajuato, Gto., October 9, 2017.- With the intention to promote the encounter of youth with an innovating, entrepreneur, creator and technological calling, the "Week of Innovation, entrepreneurship and research at the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences (DCNE) 2017" was inaugurated.
The event which is organized by the University of Guanajuato (UG), will be from October 9 to 14 this year. In addition of this event, three larger activities are developed at the same time at DCNE: The Entrepreneur Forum, the National Congress of Innovation and the Annual Encounter of Students: Research and Innovation at DCNE.
Another primordial objective of the event is to promote and encourage a culture of multidisciplinary collaboration within the Division and so, create a comprehensive formation of the student community.
At the inauguration, representing the President of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino; the Director of Planning, M. Josefina Ortiz Medel, welcomed the students and professors who will participate with their projects in the "Week of Innovation, entrepreneurship and research..." and highlighted the importance to generate liaisons between the different areas that form DCNE, it is so, how vanguard knowledge is generated, always betting for social wellbeing.
Likewise, the Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, expressed that innovation is an element that researchers must have, besides entrepreneurship, since, combining these three aspects, they can reach a transcendent knowledge.
The Director of the DCNE, Dr. Agustín Ramón Uribe Martínez, said that thanks to the participation of students and professors who present the results of her creative works, because with these, you can solve some needs from both the local and global environment.
At the end of the protocol act, M. Omar Silva Palancares, General Director of "Fomento a la Economía del Conocimiento", representing Dr. Arturo Lara López, Secretary of Innovation, Science and Higher Education, said that the events held at DCNE of the University of Guanajuato have great social relevance because when they present the projects, they develop liaisons with the community in general.
Worthy to mention, the Week of Innovation will have the participation of all the students of the postgraduates in Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and of the Master degree in Technological Negotiation and Innovation, as well as students from the majors in Mathematics, Computing, Chemist Pharmacist Biologist, Biology, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
At the event was also present, the General Coordinator of the Second Week of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Research, Dr. Fernando Israel Gómez Castro.
