Guanajuato, Gto., October 17, 2017.- Pupas Developers, an organized group of college students, advise high school students so they can concrete projects that have a positive impact in their ambience.

Pupas Developers is a student organization that encourages the skills of social entrepreneurship and leadership between the high school students, encouraging them to make social impact projects, explained the General Coordinator of the group, Beatriz Álvarez Granados, a student of the third semester of the degree in International Trade at the University of Guanajuato (UG).

Approximately 15 college students, all volunteers, support the projects from different high schools at UG, such as Pénjamo, Irapuato, Celaya, Guanajuato, Silao and Moroleón.

25 teams registered this time; they submit their projects in any of the following categories: Physic culture and sports, Social innovation culture, Technological innovation culture, sustainable culture and artistic culture.

Mentors are assigned to develop the high school students' initiatives. With this, they held an event, which was now held at the Forum in the venue Marfil of UG, where 325 students gathered, from which 275 were from high school, said Pablo Alfredo Daniel Medina, a student of the second semester of the Law degree and a collaborator in Pupas Developers.

At the encounter, the teams were assigned a "bee mentor"; they can be outstanding students or even student organization who can contribute with their knowledge and experience to the participant projects.

This is about proposals that contribute to the comprehensive development of the students, and at the same time, have a positive influence in their environment. For example, Beatriz Álvarez mentioned that one of the projects is an educational video game, which will allow the students to learn history in an interactive way, where each level covers a time or historical event (the prehistory, the French revolution, etcetera).

The 25 projects registered by college students will be shown next November 24 to a jury that will evaluate the proposal's viability. There will be a winner per category, and will receive financial support to develop the project. In addition, all the participants will have support from the Pupas Developers to concrete the initiatives, mentioned Beatriz Álvarez.

She mentioned that Pupas' work is supported by the Direction of Student Development, the High School College and high schools of the University of Guanajuato.
