Symposium of Innovation and Technology (ISIT) began at the Division of Engineering of the University of Guanajuato (UG), an event that since 2010, is being called annually by the International Institute of Innovation and Technology (IIITEC).

Dr. Mario Chauca Saavedra, president of the IIITEC and a referent in the Peruvian engineering, offered to work together with the scientific community of the University of Guanajuato, whose formal relationship with the Department of Electric Engineering goes back to 2012.

The ISIT 2017, held from October 16 to 18 in the venue Salamanca of UG, started with a video from Roberto Giordano, engineer and dean of the faculty of engineering of the Faculty of FASTA in Argentina. In it, he invites all the engineers to create societies of sustainable knowledge, because America is not the continent with more poverty, but it is with more inequality, and innovation in engineering must be a mean to help society.

For three days, the academic will discuss about the trends on electric engineering research, the fourth industrial revolution, the internet of things, the electronic government and intelligences, and some innovations such as magnetic resonance applied to bioengineering, the development for agriculture such as solar pumps and photovoltaic watering, fruit selecting systems through artificial vision, such as analysis and meteorological measurement systems applying the modulation of electromagnetic waves.

The Rector of Campus Irapuato—Salamanca, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz, inaugurated the International Symposium of Innovation and Technology, which has been celebrated five times in Perú, once in Argentina, and now, twice in Mexico. This las time, the symposium had the support of the Division of Engineering (DICIS), of the Department of Electric Engineering and the academic body of Modern Electronic Networks of the University of Guanajuato.

The experts who will have a participation in the Symposium are: Dr. Hugo Vega Huerta, of the Universidad Nacional de San Marcos (Peru); Dr. Gilberto Gómez Rosas, Chief of the Department of Physics of the University of Guadalajara; Dr. Juan Tisza Contreras, professor of the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (peru) and Over Leonardo León Piñeros, of the Universidad de los Llanos (Colombia).

The symposium will also have the contributions of Dr. Jacob Astocondor Villar, of the Universidad Nacional de Callao (Peru); the engineer Miguel Ángel Sayritupac Araujo, manager of Stefano & Masa SAC (Peru); Dr. Tania Bueno, president of the Scientific Council and researcher of the Institute of Electronic Government and Intelligences and Systems i3G (brazil); Miguel Ángel Mancilla Salazar, of the Universidad San Luis Gonzaga de Ica (Peru), as well as invited professors from the University of Guanajuato.
