Guanajuato, Gto., October 23, 2017.- With the purpose to detect areas of opportunity that contribute on tightening the collaboration liaisons with France, authorities of the University of Guanajuato (UG), gathered with the Joint Councilor of Cooperation and Cultural Action Overseer of the Scientific and College Cooperation of the French Embassy, Jean-Joinville Vacher.
The French functionary was welcomed by UG's President, Dr. Luis Felipé Guerrero Agripino, and the Director of Support for Research and Postgraduate (DAIP) of the university, Dr. Mauro Napsuciale Mendivil. In the meeting, both parties expressed a deep interest to develop joint projects in the educational, scientific and cultural ambience.
Like so, they planned to have events such as seminars or workshops that gather French scholars and UG students. One of which, could be held in May and another in September 2018.
They seek to address studies that gather different disciplines, hence, they have two possible topics: the education and science communication schemes. The intention is that, parting from those, generate other events with more focused topics, mentioned Dr. Guerrero Agripino.
Dr. Mauro Napsuciale reminded that UG has an important collaboration with French institutions in areas such as Chemistry, and there is a strong interest in going into Physics, among other disciplines.
At the end of the gathering, UG's President considered that this is the beginning of strong relationships with France, which will derivate in a greater synergy and collaboration.
