Celaya, Gto., October 23, 2017.- In 2012, the doctorate program in Nursing Sciences of the University of Guanajuato (UG), fulfilled a series of technical and methodological requirements that awarded the registry in the National Program of Quality Postgraduates (PNPC) of the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt) in the category of Recently Created Program, five years later, 2017, is re-evaluated by this organism and grants the certification as Program in Development.

The category of a Program in Development is a trustworthy referent about the quality of the educational offer of the University of Guanajuato in a postgraduate, mentioned Dr. Gloria Calixto Olalde, Coordinator of the doctorate program, and added that the quality certification for the programs offered by higher education institutions and research centers are held with thorough evaluation processes by academic peers, and they certify the program that prove have accomplished the highest standards of quality and relevance.

She mentioned that, in the design of the doctorate's program, from the beginning, they sought to articulate the knowledge obtained in classes with research and attention to the needs and the development of the social groups.

In the evaluations, they check how the postgraduate program establishes the mechanisms of integration of the liaison activities, so they can benefit mutually, both from the receiving society of the professional services of the graduates, as the process the comprehensive formation of the students.

It is important to mention that the doctorate in Nursing Sciences has been submitted to the determined process of evaluation and follow up by the PNPC, with the purpose to guarantee for the students, productive sectors and society, an education of quality offered at UG.

Since its registry in the PNPC in 2012, the doctorate in Nursing Sciences integrated the Census of the National Program of Quality Postgraduates and since then, they not only have the certification from the Department of Education (SEP) and Conacyt for its academic quality, but it has other benefits as scholarships for the enrolled students, and postdoc scholarships for the graduates.
