Irapuato, Gto. October 26, 2017.- The Forum of Systems and Energetic Processes held at the venue Irapuato of the University of Guanajuato (UG), emerged as an integrating space for collaborative work among researchers of different areas, to address actual problems outside the classes or laboratories and link with the industry.

The latter had the participation of professors and students of the Division of Life Sciences, the Division of Engineering and the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences, as well as a researcher from Virginia Tech (US), Michael Von Spakovsky, Ph.D., who convinced of the need of collaboration, shared his work to develop non-equilibrated thermodynamic models and apply them to the use of processes of systems submitted to chemical reactions, heat and mass diffusion.

At first, the representatives of the three divisions showed the types of projects developed by their professors, highlighting that Campus Irapuato-Salamanca works in research projects in thermal economy, solar systems, Thermofluids and heat transfer, energy production systems in solar cells, internal combustions engines, refrigeration, renewable energies, optimization with different technologies of artificial intelligence, control and instrumentation systems, among others.

Dr. Alberto Florentino Aguilera Alvarado, representing the director of the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences, showed the research lines from the professors in topics of energy, environment, chemistry, health, astronomy and mathematics.

At the beginning of the works, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz, Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, was accompanied by the Director of the Center of Applied Research in Competitive Rechnologies (CIATEC, A.C.), Dr. Ricardo Guerra Sánchez, who spoke about their experience with the industry and the best results obtained when people from different specialties participate in solving a problem.

In addition of the conferences by CIATEC's director, Dr. Spakovsky, professors of the three divisions, gave conferences related with the use of numeric tools as a preamble towards innovation, refrigeration systems with low potential of global warming, biofuels and bioproducts, arsenic absorption cells in water and others.
