estudiante-representara-a-la-ug-en-japon-ug-ugtoLeón, Gto., November 3, 2017.- Because of her leadership and social commitment, Gwendolyne Jesús Ramírez Monroy, a student of the ninth semester of the Medical Surgeon of Campus León of the University of Guanajuato (UG), resulted winner of the summon "On thw way to Japan" which is granted by the "Instituto de Financiamiento e Información para la Educación" (EDUCAFIN).

From November 16 – 26 this year, Gwendolyne will be able to visit the main cities of the Nippon country, such as Osaka, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Narita and Kyoto.

For ten days, she will have the opportunity to share experiences with other peers from Guanajuato, in addition of knowing the culture of that country.

Gwendolyne Ramírez expressed, in an interview, her satisfaction for winning this scholarship after her participation in favor of the victims of the earthquakes in Oaxaca. She mentioned that during her stay, she'll seek to know how the health systems works, advantages and so, with that information, generate a project with social impact in Mexico.

"Having participated in this summon, was an interesting experience, because I had the opportunity to make collections to help the people affected by the earthquakes in Oaxaca, and knowing that more young people of Guanajuato are doing things in favor of our people", she remarked.

She added, "is a pride to represent my institution, my state and my country abroad, and I invite all the university community to not only join these summons, but to help the most needed people in our state and do something for our country."
