
León, Gto., November 8, 2017.- Because of their social leadership in topics such as liaison, environment, extension, culture, sports and community support, students of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus León, won several distinctions.
Nayeli del Rosario Robles Lara, currently studies the ninth semester of the major in Social Work, and was the winner of the UBSA 2017 Award given by the "Urbanizadora del Bajío S.A. de C.V."
This urban organization, supports professors and students with an outstanding academic trajectory so they can attend congresses and specialized international reunions.
On this occasion, Nayeli received the award next to Arturo Abraham Sosa López, who studies at Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, who received a medal and the award. Also, they received the opportunity to attend, on April next year, to Malaga, Spain, to the Greencities International Congress 2018.
The congress will have the participation of 200 cities and 38 countries that gather research with the aim to view sustainable.
In an interview, Nayeli said to be proud of being selected and represent UG, Campus León, and her division: "This award represents me, recognizing my trajectory from the first semesters, it was a very tough competition [...] mi major and the fact of being part of this university has open many doors for me. This award is very significant for me."
Raúl Ricardo Bautista Hernández, a student of the ninth semester of the major in Public Management and, Hilda Jazmín Gamiño Salazar, a student of the fifth semester of the educational program in Social Work, will travel to Toronto and South Ontario, Canada, through thanks to the Mobility Summon published by UG together with the EDUCAFIN (Instituto de Financiamiento de Información para la Educación).
Both students make different activities, such as guided tours in Toyota and universities such as Toronto University, they'll attend a talk about Economy, and a workshop on entrepreneurship. They'll visit the Niagara Falls, museums, among other places, in a seven day stay.
For Aldo Alejandro Sánchez Vázquez, a student of the fifth semester of the major in Territory Development and Management, was selected to travel to Texas and carry out mobility activities from December 25 to 30 this year, in a program titled Business Leadership that focuses on visiting large companies such as NASA, the Texas University in San Antonio, The Alamo Colleges District, and talk with entrepreneurs and make guided visits.
