
Salamanca, Gto. November 24, 2017.- Students of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca of the University of Guanajuato (UG) participated in the 4th Contest Create, Ingenuity and Launch with 29 business plans in the products or services categories.
University authorities accompanied by Dr. Salvador Hernández Castro, Director of Liaison at UG and the Executive Director of the Guanajuato Techno Park (GTP), M. René Jaime Rivas, awarded the best projects, within the Week of Art and Business, and the X anniversary of the program of Business Management.
Twelve juries evaluated the projects submitted, and the winners in the category of services are: Mechatronic LATAM (first place), Inspiria (second place) and La Martinita (third place) and for the category of products in the first place was for the project Happixel, the second place was for +Energio and the third place for Hexoma, whose creators passed two filters: first the presentation of the business plan and then they had five minutes to dialogue with the jury about their project's viability.
During the award ceremony, it was highlighted that the Division of Engineering was pleasant, because after 10 years of creating the program in Business Management, the fusion of talents between the engineers, digital artists and business managers, they have transformed the university community.
Dr. María Mercedes León Sánchez, pioneer of this educational program, acknowledged the benefits of this multi and interdisciplinary work among the student community of the Digital Arts, Business Management and the different engineering that by tradition are taught at UG's venue Salamanca.
During the award and closing ceremony of the Week of Art and Business, the Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz, recognized to the first Rector of Campus, M. René Jaime Rivas, current director of GTP, for the vision he had to create new programs to compliment and enrich the doing of engineering.
In his turn, the Director of the Department of Art and Business, Dr. Víctor Hugo Jiménez Arredondo, recognized the DICIS community for working with student of the different programs, highlighting they have earned identity and pride to belong to the same alma mater.
