Guanajuato, Gto., November 27, 2017.- Representatives of Chiba University, Japan, visited the University of Guanajuato (UG), with the common purpose to review schemes of academic cooperation between both institutions, within the project FY2015 Reinventing Japan Project Chiba University.

Dr. Shunichiro Higashi, Professor of Interior Design of Chiba University met with Dr. Sergio Antonio Silva Muñoz, Director of International Relationships and Academic Collaboration of UG, who was accompanied by Dr. Alma Pineda Almanza, Professor of the Department of Design of the Division of Architecture, Art & Design of Campus Guanajuato, with whom she already collaborates closely.

As part of the activities during the visit of the Japanese delegation, architecture students of Chiba University and students of the master degrees in Restoration of Sites and Monuments and Urban Development of UG, made a series of research projects on urban image and land use of several plazas and alleys in the city of Guanajuato.

The results were presented in the auditorium "Victor Manuel Villegas" at the venue Belén of Campus Guanajuato, in presence of postgraduate professors and students.

Dr. Sergio Antonio Silva, thanked the representatives of Chiba University for visiting and celebrated the willingness to participate in this project.

With these actions, the University of Guanajuato continues strengthening the international dimension of their educational proposal.
