Guanajuato, Gto., November 29, 2017.- The Principal of the High School College (CNMS) of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. J. Merced Rizo Carmona, handed awards to the high schools of Celaya and Salvatierra because they were certified as good quality schools, (PBC-SINEMS, formerly known as National Baccalaureate System).

The previous was based in the dictum issued by the Council for the Evaluation of High Education, A.C. (COPEEMS) a few days ago.

Dr. Carmona gave the awards to HS Celaya for having entered the National Baccalaureate System in the category Campus Level III, after it went through a series of evaluations throughout the year, so he congratulated the community of the school for this success.

The Principal of HS Celaya, Raúl Rosillo Arroyo, mentioned that this achievement is the result of the work of the academic, student and administrative community, since each one is part of this success, because it was one of the schools left to enter the system.

About the school in Salvatierra, they received the award for obtaining the category Campus Level II in the PBC-SINEMS which will be valid for three years. With this, he congratulated the school community for the achievement because it was in the level III and the results in these years, have positioned the school to scale up to this level.

Ma. Refugio Quintana Sánchez mentioned that this achievement is the result of the community's effort, thus allowing them to scale to the next level and invited to continue working to reach level I.

Once these categories are obtained, there's a commitment from the director and academic authorities, as well as of the student community to generate orientation and tutoring programs to address the needs of the students; the participation in the evaluation processes determined by the Sub-Department of High Education of the Department of Public Education; and the operation of the school management based on goals, objectives, transparency and continuous improvement plans.
